มาดูกัน V. TO BE + V. อะไรได้บ้างนะ?
ก่อนอื่นต้องรู้ก่อนว่า V. TO BE มีอะไรบ้าง >> be/is/am/are/was/were/been
ซึ่งในข้อสอบ TOEIC หากมีช่องว่างตามหลัง V. TO BE แล้ว เราจะสามารถเติม V. อะไรต่อได้บ้าง ลองไปดูกันเลย!
1. V. TO BE + V.ing
คือโครงสร้างของ Continuous Tense ทั้งหลาย ได้แก่
- Present Continuous: is/am/are + V.ing
- Past Continuous: was/were + V.ing
- Present Perfect Continuous: has/have been + V.ing
- Future Continuous: will be + V.ing
หรือเป็นโครงสร้างแบบ V. TO BE + V.ing (ที่เป็น Adj.) ซึ่ง Adj. แบบนี้มักแปลว่า “น่า-” เช่น
- The book you suggested is interesting. (หนังสือที่คุณแนะนำน่าสนใจ)
- The service of the hotel was super satisfying. (การบริการของโรงแรมน่าพอใจมากๆ)
V.ing ที่มักใช้เป็น Adj. ได้ เช่น

2. V. TO BE + V.3
โครงสร้าง Passive Voice หรือโครงสร้างที่ “ประธาน” ถูกกระทำ จะมี V. TO BE (ผันได้) + V.3 เสมอ เช่น
- Present Simple (Passive): is/am/are + V.3
- Past Perfect (Passive): had been + V.3
- Past Continuous (Passive): was/were + being + V.3
- Future Continuous (Passive): will be + being + V.3
โครงสร้างแบบ V. TO BE + V.ed (ที่เป็น Adj.) ซึ่ง Adj. แบบนี้มักแปลว่า “รู้สึก-” เช่น
- He was surprised to see Sarah. (เขารู้สึกประหลาดใจที่เห็นซาร่าห์)
- I have been disappointed with his performance. (ฉันรู้สึกผิดหวังกับผลงานของเขา)
V.ed ที่มักใช้เป็น Adj. ได้ เช่น

V.ing/V.ed จะเป็น Adj. เมื่อความหมายคือการบรรยายสภาพ หรือความรู้สึกของ “ประธาน” แต่ถ้าไม่ใช่แสดงว่าเป็นโครงสร้าง Verb ปกติ
- The news is shocking the whole nation. (ข่าวทำให้คนทั้งประเทศตกใจ)
- The news is really shocking, and the whole nation finds it hard to believe.
(ข่าวน่าตกใจมากๆ และคนทั้งประเทศพบว่ามันยากที่จะเชื่อ) - We were confused by the change of the plan.
(พวกเราถูกทำให้สับสนโดยการเปลี่ยนแผน = พวกเราสับสนด้วยแผนที่เปลี่ยนไป) - We were confused and don’t know what to do. (พวกเรารู้สึกสับสน และไม่รู้ว่าจะทำอย่างไร)
